Multiple ambulatory clinics are included in the residency experience at each participating site. Additionally, each resident every PGY year spends dedicated ambulatory rotations at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that is designed to address the health of our underserved communities in such areas as preventative care, women’s health, chronic disease management, and support services. It receives more than 5000 obstetric and gynecologic visits per year.
University of Illinois medical students rotate through our department during their third year clerkship as well as through the medical and surgical services at Presence Saint Francis Hospital.
The program offers protected weekly lectures including lectures by all subspecialists, Journal Club, Grand Rounds and Gynecologic Pathology conferences.
