Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center is committed to offering a range of mental health services for adults and adolescents. Our services are specialized for individuals depending on their age and level of care needed.
For individuals with mental health problems who require hospitalization, we provide safe, nurturing and therapeutic environments in separate adolescent and adult units. Our adolescent partial hospital program helps teens transition from hospital to home, school and community through a variety of services offered in an intensive outpatient setting.
During inpatient treatment, each patient receives a holistic, multidisciplinary treatment plan to address his or her specific mental health problem. The plan may include individual and group therapy, family counseling, medication management, recreational therapy, nutritional assessment and intervention and pastoral counseling.
The goal of inpatient treatment is to stabilize patients who are experiencing severe mental health crises. Once stable, patients return to their homes and communities, with outpatient treatment provided by their psychiatrist or therapist.
