The Behavioral Health Clinic at Presence Saint Francis Hospitals has partnered with the City of Evanston, providing community support services to Evanston residents. With this program, we are able to assist Evanston residents with a variety of services including de-escalation of crisis situations or individuals in crisis, family interventions and support to family members in the community, and linkage of clients to mental health services. With this program, residents may be eligible for home visits. We collaborate with other agencies and professionals in the community to help meet the needs of the residents. An expansion of this program came in January 2017 with the addition of a full-time social worker at the Evanston Public Library to provide crisis intervention/de-escalation, assessment and linkage to appropriate referrals for patrons.
A 24-hour crisis line is available to provide over the phone crisis intervention, psychiatric pre-screening and immediate support.
