  • 1 Cup butter, softened
  • 1 ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  2. In Separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
  3. Roll out to 1/4 inches thickness and cut with cookie cutters. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes
