Improvement Activities is a new category, which will account for 15% of 2017 MIPS performance.  Measures within this category focus on activities that improve clinical practice, such as: care coordination, patient engagement, patient safety, population management, and health equity.  Within these areas, there are over 90 measures from which most providers will choose four improvement activities.  Providers will need to attest that they completed these activities for a minimum of 90 days in order to receive credit.
