Presence Health St. Mary’s Hospital Honors Kankakee Resident Jackie Fedrow with H.O.P.E. Award

Kankakee resident Jackie Fedrow was presented with the Presence Health H.O.P.E Award in Chicago on November 6, 2015.  Fedrow, a Social Worker at Presence St. Mary’s Hospital, was among 18 Presence Health System H.O.P.E. Award recipients recognized at ceremony held at the W Chicago Hotel.

“Jackie is a tireless and extremely hard worker,” said Fedrow’s supervisor and nominator Pete LaMotte, PSMH Director of Social Services.  “She is sought after to provide her input on a multitude of issues whether on the nursing units, within the department and hospital committees. Jackie represents PSMH, her department and profession like no other.”

Presence Health launched the employee recognition program, the H.O.P.E. awards, to celebrate the health system’s values in action:  Honesty, Oneness, People and Excellence.  The H.O.P.E. awards recognize employees who exemplify Presence Health Values through their daily work with patients, residents and colleagues, and also serve as respected role models in their communities.

Fedrow is often mentioned by patients and families for her positive impact and compassion.  She also impressed through her work developing a safe discharge plan.  She received a $500 cash prize and overnight stay at the W Hotel following the presentation.
