Great healthcare just became a lot easier. Set to open to patients on September 28, Presence Health’s new Healing Arts Pavilion (HAP) in Plainfield is a first-of-its-kind facility, designed to deliver unparalleled patient care and concierge-style service in a setting both convenient and conducive to the healing process for patients in southwestern Chicagoland.
In the new facility located at 16615 South Rt. 59, at the intersection of Rt. 59 & Dayfield Road, patients will have access to 90 percent of their ambulatory health needs within the building – including imaging, physical therapy, and specialty and primary care – eliminating the need for additional appointments and time spent traveling to inconvenient facilities. Any needs that cannot be addressed within HAP will be directed to nearby Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center, just minutes away.
“We’ve been so eager to welcome patients to our new vision of healthcare,” said Kathleen Rhine, Regional President/CEO Presence Health South Suburban Region. “The long-awaited opening of this project and patient care model have finally arrived, and we look forward to serving our community through an experience focused entirely on them.”
HAP is structured into four main care sections – Immediate Care, Imaging, Physical Therapy and Presence Medical Group Primary and Specialty Care – and totals 32 exam rooms throughout the facility, supported by an on-site diagnostic laboratory. Patients will be attended to by HAP’s Presence Medical Group team of Board-certified physicians – Mary Gordon, DO - Cardiology; Vipuli Jayesinghe, MD - Family Practice; Saba Osmani, MD - Family Practice; and Ghassan Rahhal, MD - Internal Medicine – all experts in innovative medicine and known for their professional expertise and bedside manner. Additionally, orthopedic and sports medicine will be available through MK Orthopedics, a highly regarded group of surgeons specializing in bone and joint care.
To further the high-quality care experience, the HAP offers state-of-the-art technology on-site – much of which is not available at any other healthcare facilities in the area. This includes bone densitometry, 3-D mammography, x-ray, CT scan and MRI capabilities through the imaging suite.
Convenience is a focal point of HAP’s structure. To ensure patient privacy and ease of medical attention, once a patient is admitted into the medical exam areas for an appointment, there will be an uninterrupted transition of care between departments and no need to return to another department’s waiting room. Boasting a seamless flow of patient record information, departments throughout the entire building will operate on the same fully integrated electronic medical record platform, enabling all HAP service providers to access inter-department notes and eliminate the need for redundant paperwork and repetition of symptoms by patients.
Continuing the electronic integration, check-in, registration and medical history will be executed by staff and information transferred to any follow-up services by the concierge, eliminating the coordination of records or duplication of process with additional unnecessary services. All patients will have the option to register for a patient portal for medical record review and test results. Appointments can also be scheduled online.
Construction of HAP was completed in Sept. 2015. Interiors were crafted with patient comfort in mind – features were chosen to promote healing, with soothing warm tones and natural elements throughout the 25,000 sq. ft. facility.
Through technology, design and personnel, the Plainfield Healing Arts Pavilion will deliver an unprecedented level of service to the community and will continue to position Presence Health as Illinois’ leader in care delivery. A community open house will be held Saturday, Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., during which attendees and potential patients will be able to tour the facility and participate in “speed dating” with on-site physicians to find the best fit for their needs.
