Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center Opens New Orthopedic Center
Chicago, Ill. – February 2015 – The new Presence Medical Group (PMG) Orthopedic Center recently opened in a fully renovated space in the Presence Saint Elizabeth Professional Office Building 1431 N. Western Ave., Suite 134, Chicago. Opening this new center is part of Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center’s (PSMEMC) efforts to expand its orthopedic service line to serve the growing needs of the community.
The center houses the practices of three highly skilled orthopedic specialists on staff at PSMEMC –Nicholas Frisch, MD; Randon Johnson, MD and Joseph Sheehan, MD. The facility features eight exam rooms, a large reception area and beautiful waiting room for patient comfort. The office includes a casting area and X-ray equipment conveniently located on site, and free, accessible parking.
“Our team of specialists is focused on helping patients get back to doing the things they enjoy,” said Dr. Frisch. “Whether it’s joint problems, sports injuries, arthritis or tendonitis, we can help patients regain their health and become active so they can play with their children, golf or walk to work without chronic pain.”

A look at the doctors
Dr. Frisch completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic and a fellowship in sports medicine with the Sports Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Group in San Francisco. His clinical interests are knee and shoulder problems, sports medicine and injuries stemming from adolescent and adult sports. He also has worked with the head team physicians for several Cleveland professional sports teams and was an assistant team physician for the San Francisco Giants baseball team. He specializes in sports medicine and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Johnson’s clinical interests include fractures, sports medicine, shoulder surgery and knee replacement. Board-certified in orthopedics, he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Creighton/Nebraska Health Foundation in Omaha. He completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

On staff since 2010, Dr. Sheehan completed his residency in physical medicine, rehabilitation and orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. He is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as orthopedic surgery. He specializes in total knee and total hip replacement.
The staff also includes two medical assistants and a physician’s assistant to help ensure efficient, personal service and a quality patient experience.
